Primary Industries Minister Teresa Kok said she couldn't understand the reason for a protest held outside the Parliament in Kuala Lumpur this morning by more than 150 Felda settlers and smallholders.
She said the protest was strange as the price of palm oil has been rising.
The protesters today had complained that it is difficult to make ends meet due to the instability of palm oil prices unlike in the past when BN was in power.
Meanwhile, inspector-general of police Abdul Hamid Bador revealed that the authorities in the country where the alleged mastermind of the 1MDB scandal Jho Low is hiding are refusing to cooperate with the Malaysian police.
"Among the excuses they gave was that he (Jho Low) supposedly underwent plastic surgery and now resembles a bear.
"His face is said to look like a bear. I don't know but purportedly he has changed how his face looks," Berita Harian quoted him as telling reporters in Sabah.
